Account Setup
The broker is relatively young and offers three different account types to all traders, each of which comes with an Islamic account option. The leverage system is similar to all accounts capped at 1:200 for Forex pairs, 1:50 for commodities and indices, 1:20 for stock CFDs, and 1:5 for cryptos. The minimum lot size is set at 0.01 lots, and the minimum deposit starts at 250 USD or EUR. This is where the similarities end, and differences begin. Let’s explain them below.
Live Accounts
Three accounts offered by Equiity are called silver, gold, and platinum and each of them comes with different spreads and available services.
Silver account has spread from 2.6 pips on major pairs and crude oil, to 7.4 pips on gold, and only offers dedicated customer support, and hedging.
Gold account has lower spreads from 2 pips for both major pairs and crude oil, and 5.4 pips for gold. As for services dedicated account manager, webinars & videos, a 25% swap discount, dedicated support, and hedging are available.
Platinum which offers the lowest prices among trading accounts starts at 1.4 pips for major pairs and crude oil. For gold, 3.4 pips spreads are offered. A multitude of services offered to platinum account holders include News Alert, dedicated customer support, a dedicated account manager, webinars, video tutorials, a 50% swap discount, and hedging.
Platform Features & Usability
Equiity’s custom web trading platform was developed by the broker itself. It has a modern design and offers all the needed basic features to trade on financial markets. However, it is still disadvantageous that the broker is not offering MT4 or any other popular advanced platform besides its proprietary platform. The web trader is available on all devices through a browser and can be used to analyze markets.
Fees
Equiity has an inactivity fee starting from 60 USD per month after 2 months of inactivity. The withdrawals and deposits also have fees of 2.5%. Swap rates are charged in case trades are not closed overnight, but the Islamic account option is also available.
Other fees include currency conversion fees, if the deposited funds are in another currency than the account base currency, something traders should look for before they fund their accounts.
There are no hidden costs and charges, and all trading fees are transparently given on the broker’s website.
Traders & Social Community
Equiity offers only educational resources to the gold and platinum account traders and there are no other dedicated educational, copy trading, or community activities available at the moment. This is understandable as the broker was established in 2022 and is a relatively young company. Despite the lack of social trading features, Equiity is more focused on the security of funds and regulations.
Risk Management
Equiity is regulated by the Mauritius Financial Services Commission, which makes it a reliable broker. The first thing the broker did was to acquire a license and implement all the security policies.
Negative balance protection is applied to all trading accounts, preventing traders from losing more than their initial investment.
Segregated bank accounts ensure Equiity employees are unable to touch client funds. The broker is a member of an investor compensation fund, providing compensation for eligible investors in case of insolvency.
Support
Multilingual website and support ensure traders can get quality assistance in case they face any issues. Live chat, hotline support, email support, and an online form are all available for clients of Equiity. With its diverse support network in several countries, Equiity ensures all clients get assistance immediately without waiting times.
Funds Withdrawal
Deposits and withdrawals can be made through numerous popular payment options such as Visa, MasterCard, Neteller, and Skrill. Traders can use bank cards or online payments and both of them are fast ways of withdrawing, especially the online payment methods.
