Established in 2009, Signal Trader is a platform dedicated to providing only proven expert signal providers.
These signal providers adhere to a very strict vetting process that includes trading with a minimum of $8000 on a real money account, having a minimum of 3% net profit and never having exceeded 15% drawdown.
Currently Signal Trader has only 14 signal providers listed, and whilst this is most certainly a result of the strict vetting process, it does mean that all 14 have very good historical results.
Signal Trader lacks the social integration that many of it’s competitors offer and offer a more formal mirror trading platform, which is what they excel in. Brokerage is also handled by 3rd party brokers such as FxPro, AvaTrade, FXCM, FXDD, FinxFx and Forex.com, so getting started is a bit more of a chore than say the likes of eToro or Ayondo.
Joining and trading on the Signal Trader platform is free and they only take their cut from being an Introducing Broker to the 3rd party brokers supported on their platform. Whilst Signal Trader does offer free 31 day demo accounts, the minimum amount needed to start trading is $2000, which is unusually high and might be off-putting to newcomers wanting to test the waters of social or automated trading.
